Trying out all the different books offered by Amazon Prime and will continue to review! Another short book, not sure if all the Kindle free reads are this short but so far every book I have rented has been a quick read: easily 30 minutes or less. Still searching for that "bible" on how to do great training and understanding my GSD to the best of my ability!

It takes you step by step through the process of taking care of your pet. The guide talks about being the leader and showing your puppy who is in charge. Learning To Share By prisrob Do you like to share your toys or do you like to keep them for yourself?The author, Leela Hope, has written another innovative story with a lesson to be learned. Ernie the elephant was small, not as big as the other elephants, but he has learned that it is OK to be a smaller size. His good friend was Martin the mouse, and they had a wonderful time playing together. When Ernie played with Martin he learned quickly that Martin asked to borrow many of his toys,but Martin never shared. This bothered Ernie, he had always learned to share. One day, Ernie asked Martin if he could borrow one of Martin's toys, Ernie said he would bring it back on the weekend. Martin said, "No", he needed that toy. This broke Ernie's heart,and he went away crying. Martin asked his mother what was wrong. When you read this book, you will understand what occurred, and how this issue was resolved.Parents/teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. This story has several lessons to be learned, and reading stories is a good way to do that. The writing is in rhyme,mand everyone I know enjoys reading rhyming books. The illustrations are bright and vivid, and they depict the adventures of Martin and Ernie. A really nice way to learn to play together. Her writing covers a span of several genres, but she always returns to her first love, children's fiction. And it is there that her star shines brightest. Always finding something unique on which to base her stories, she makes each tale a learning experience for children as well as offering some pointers for parenting!Once again we are spending time with Ernie the elephant who is small but has a big heart. On the other hand Ernie’s friend Martin Mouse was much smaller but had so much confidence that he seemed like a giant. Martin loved visiting Ernie’s house but was always borrowing toys, a trait Ernie didn’t begrudge – except that Martin never shared back. Ernie finally asked Martin to borrow an action figure toy, but Martin refused, making Ernie sad and he ran away. Martin felt terrible he had made his friend sad and in sharing with his mother, Martin’s mother told him he was selfish when he played. Martin goes through his toys, takes his favorite action figure toy to Ernie’s house – and the act of sharing restored their close friendship.Delightful illustrations and a very solid learning experience shows that Leela remains on top of the heap of books of this genre. Silk, Author/Reviewer Ernie is a small elephant who doesn't let negative comments about his size bother him any more. He has confidence and likes himself the way he is, especially since he has met Martin Mouse! They play together but sometimes Martin borrows too many of Ernie's toys. Ernie is willing to share with friends, but sometimes his toy box winds up empty. When it comes time for Ernie to borrow a toy from Martin, he becomes possessive ... not willing to share with Ernie. This is probably one of the most important lessons for even the youngest children to learn. I enjoyed this story and the beautiful, cute illustrations. Excellent rhyming narration, loved it. Check out the other books authored by Leela Hope, they all have wonderful ways to help children be better friends.

By RomanceBookLover I’ve known for years that commercial deodorants are bad for your health and have avoided using them as much as possible. However, recently I was prescribed a medication that makes me sweat a lot. And, of course, that leads to more odor. I’ve been searching for a natural deodorant that I liked, have tried a few, but I wasn’t completely happy. Thus, the purchase of this book.I want to have total control of the ingredients. In particular, I want to add the essential oils of my choosing, and vitamins to boost the health of my skin. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this ebook. Not only does it include recipes for deodorants but also body sprays, pet deodorizers (hallelujah! I have a basset hound) and room/air-fresheners. There are recipes for all skin types—acne-prone to dry and/or sensitive. I look forward to working with the recipes and tweaking them to fit my preferences.

By Jen B (Jen's All About Books) As the blurb explains, the proverbial cat is out of the bag and Simone now knows that Isaac was her master. He makes it clear that she will not be leaving his house with their son and that's perfect because she has no desire to. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't struggle to understand why Isaac lied by omission and wouldn't tell her who he really was. He tries to show her some papers and explain but she already knows the story from her ex-husband. She drops more f-bombs which is pretty funny because he's still counting and she's still antagonizing him.It is epic when they finally come together for the first time with her knowing who he is. I love the explanation of the name Cara that he called her in Part one and the explanation of why he won't call her that now and the exact point in time that this conversation is taking place is perfect.Things are going well between them for a couple of weeks when something from Isaac's past rear's it's ugly head and by ugly I mean ex-fiance troubles. Here is where Ms. Haze throw's you for a freaking loop once more during the Mate serials. I didn't see the ending coming like it did. I'm not going to say it was perfect because I hate cliff hangers and I'm pretty sure I called her a few not so nice names because of this ending. Totally hooked and part four can not come soon enough for my taste.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Power of love and forgiveness By Mary Jo Toth Simone's compassion and ability to forgive is amazing and something that Isaac almost can't accept. We really get to see them grow as they face what really happened and the deception that followed. Isaac deserves to find happiness but he is so reluctant to allow it to happen. I love how Simone seems to know just how to push him to get him to open up and see the truth. Simone shows incredible strength as she copes with the deception but also opens herself up to love and something she never thought she would find for her and Malik, a family. Will we ever know what hurt Isaac so deeply to keep him away from love, breaking his ability to trust? Yes, we get just enough information and then a totally crazy cliff hanger.

The final two words of Part Two left me in dire need of knowing what would happen.These two people are real to me now. Their wants, their needs, their desire, and I finished the book quickly then read it again right away.Great write. Most excellent read.

Isabella Lee, the author, tells us that our possessions often end up possessing us and that what we find meaningful in life should never come from what we own. Excessive possessions are distractions. She goes on to tell us how to unlatch ourselves from our stuff. The second book which is a great companion to the first, goes into how we can entertain ourselves cheaply, doing such things as going to the library, the park, painting not only artwork but the rooms of hour house. Some things we can do to cut down on the money we spend are volunteering at events, going to U-pick farms and farmers markets, having potlucks and watching out for happy hours when we do go out.

Ms. MacLaughlin was able to weave together the story of her work life, the meanings of the carpenter's tools, and also literature even though she's a carpenter into a beautiful meditation on all three.I think people in Boston will love this book for all of its scenes are set around the city.I think people whose hearts beat and minds purr to this quote of Virginia Woolf's will love this book for its heart beats woman manly : "It is fatal to be a man or woman pure and simple: one must be a woman manly, or a man womanly."And of course I think anyone who loves memoir or good writing or essays or creative nonfiction will love this book as well. I remember quotes from Woolf, Ovid, Joseph Conrad, and Rebecca Solnit appearing throughout. Ms. MacLaughlin is well-read, thoughtful, and astute.The ending is well-felt, and well-earned, as well. I teared up at the final scene between the carpenter Mary and the apprentice Nina. That's the power of the mentor-apprentice relationship. And those who have never had it, can feel the lack of it in their lives when they read this book. I certainly did.

It's about becoming a carpenter—but more so about work, and messing up and failing, and learning how to do something new. Like if Rebecca Solnit or Annie Dillard had written a book about carpentry, work, and family instead of getting lost or going outside.

A fantastic book by an amazingly assured debut author By A SW Reader This is a beautiful, thoughtful account of giving up a keyboard and a cubicle for a tool belt. It has shrewd things to say about life's big questions, vividly describes both the frustrations and triumphs of manual labor, offers lots of sweat and dust and groovy tools, paints a lovingly candid portrait of a one-of-a-kind mentor, and practically teaches you a trade by the exactitude of the prose, which matches the exactitude required of a carpenter. If you're looking for a book to inspire you in your own work, this is it.

I had the pleasure of meeting the author at the Vermont Quilt Festival and she came across as a caring person. In reading her book you will find the same. She really wants to make it easy for quilters to make quilts for these patients who are so appreciative of our efforts.

By Maureen Nevers I feel like I can hear the author speaking to me in her writing! This book is laid out very nicely, with clear instructions and supporting photos. The explanations, especially of the "little things that you might need to know", are very easy to follow. The projects are exactly what I want for beginner and/or charity quilts, and gives me lots of ideas for variations. So glad to have this in my repertoire of books!
