It provides survival tips and it keeps you from being stupid. I plan to go hiking and it'd be nice to meet these edible plants in the wild. I recommend this book, it teaches you how to be brave and resourceful when out there in the wild.

America has a multitude of growing climates (zones) that information would have been useful. Still at a loss as to where to forage the plants, and the fungi leaves a lot to be desired.
