About the Author My story is a little different from most authors, as I never thought I would be publishing a book. I lost my dog two years ago and never thought I could love and open my heart again to another dog. Then Charli came into my life and I looked into her eyes and this is where our story began. I started posting all her naughty adventures on social media and people loved them. Charli inspired me to write a children’s book to bring laughter and joy into people’s homes. To think a rescue from South Carolina can inspire you to write a book. I always had a love of animals as long as I could remember. When I was young I actually wanted to be a veterinarian but then I had biology class. Partial proceeds of The Adventures of Charli will help with Charli’s rescue as all dogs deserve to have a home. No one deserves to feel unwanted or not loved, and dogs give us so much unconditional love.

By Affinity This beautifully-illustrated book is a fun account of the trials and tribulations of raising a young Lab. Charli is a rescue, but most of all, he's a puppy that does what puppies often do - dig, chew, snuggle and make everything an adventure. I'd like to point out that, because of the story of a real puppy, this is not just a typical children's book. Think of it as something that anyone can enjoy - including elderly that may not be able to read so well anymore. I just gave this as a gift to an elderly relative who loves animals and she was smitten with the pictures and the story.

By Kristen Perri My family had the privilege of meeting Fran and Charli a few weeks ago...I had to write her immediately that night because our 7 year old daughter absolutely LOVED meeting Fran and Charli and she loves this book! I have to preface this by saying that she had a hard time getting her start in reading and is just getting off the ground after an intense Summer of hard work and tutoring. As soon as we got home she opened the book and read it cover to cover! To see her enjoying a book so thoroughly is truly a gift! Great job!

I particularly love the photos of the real Charli at the end of the book. Every child can relate to playing and getting into mischief all at the same time. I think the children will really enjoy Charli's adventures. My nieces loved this book and the little Labador stuffed puppy that I bought to go with it. This will be a regular purchase for me when I need gifts for children!
