[[VIDEOID:84fff48f2c44dd377dbc4c24e8587bb4]]This book is filled with page after page of the most adorable photos of the cutest, silliest sock monkeys. Not only is this a great resource for how to customize sock monkeys it is a wealth of fun photo op ideas. If you are a sock monkey aficionado you will love all the techniques for making unique eyes, hair, tails, accessories, outfits and more for your sock monkey. If you are a newbie you will have everything you need to start your new creation adventure. I have made numerous aminekos (little crocheted cats that are about the same size as sock monkeys) and love making outfits and accessories for them along with photographing them in fun places doing silly things so this book is a wealth of information and ideas I will be using to expand my crafting for the aminekos. I bet doll makers will love this book too as the techniques would translate to them as well. All the holiday and costume ideas are making my head swim with so many possibilities. Dee (The Sock Monkey Lady) writes with a great knowledge and includes tons of tips and suggestions for virtually unlimited customization of your personal sock monkey creations.

I was gifted a sock monkey, completely sewn by hand, over twenty years ago and I still have him. He has jiggle eyes, eye-brows, and wears a felt vest with my initial on it. After reading this book, I now know that my monkey was made from ‘modern’ socks—important to know if I ever part with him—which I won’t! When I spoke about this book and all of its techniques and photographs to the lady who created my monkey—she said she wished a book like this existed when she first started to make monkeys. The book itself is a collectible, and I will be keeping it along with my monkey. I’m so grateful the author shared her all-encompassing knowledge and techniques on how to create (and collect) extraordinary and personable sock monkeys. Not to mention the incredible photographs. If you craft or collect monkeys, this book is for you. I'm going to have another sock monkey made for me with some of these features! Sock monkeys forever!
