One of the best on the subject By Mommy2twins Another outstanding book by Australian publisher that includes the techniques and projects from various embroiderers from around the world. All techniques have step by step photographs as well as the descriptions. Projects feature the supply list of all threads used and the sequence of the work. In the end of the book there are all patterns with stitch directions shown. There are not many books on the market that teach thread painting, they are mostly on Chinese embroidery, but this one is one of the best. You just cannot go wrong with Country Bumpkins publications. They also have a magazine for embroidery lovers called Inspirations that is worth buying as well.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. good introduction to thread painting By Lee good introduction for someone interested in this type of stitching...really well done as far as animals are concerned but I would have liked to see human faces dealt with as well. 4 others in my group have also bought this book after seeing mine & are using it for their work.
