About the Author Marion Coffman began breeding and training Vizslas in the 1960's. Since then she has bred over ninety champions, personally finished championship titles on over forty dogs, and also put more than twenty-five different obedience titles on Vizslas. She is a member of the Vizsla Club of America and served as their historian for many years.

Compared to other books which are vague on the breed and give only common sense care tips, this book is above and beyond. Every Vizsla lover needs this book.

A sine qua non for those wanting information on the vizsla: ancestory, breeding, history, personality, behavior, mood, training, feeding, grooming, health care. Ms. Coffman covers every aspect, from interesting general knowledge to practical information and advice. I have owned a vizsla for a year and this book has enhanced the enjoyment of my the dog as an animal, a pet and a extraordinary companion. If you are contemplating acquiring a vizsla or are an owner looking for insight and guidance, I recommend this book to you as being well worth the price.
