I knew going in that it was a very emotional story. I was not disappointed. The relationship between the characters carries the story til the epilogue. There is not gratuitous sex scenes throughout. It is a sweet story that shows love in many forms.

In the first few pages I felt tears threatening to fall. My heart broke for Luka and Susan. I wanted to cradle Susan and mend Luka's broken heart.Susan has a fierce spirit about her. In the final days of her life she is determined not to leave her sweet husband without someone. She helps Luka choose her in-home nurse without letting on her plan.Luka isn't sure how to even begin preparing for Susan's death. He is clinging to her and unsure where to go from here.Melia held a special place in my heart upon first meeting her. She was full of sass and spunk. She brought life into Susan and Luka's home. She became apart of their family and stumbled into love with Luka.On the brink of losing Susan will Luka find love and peace? I wept for Luka and I loved that this story focused more on Susan and Luka's journey. There is limited sex in this story. Instead you get a wonderful story of healing, hope, and moving forward. This is my absolute favorite Graystone story yet and I hope to see more like this from her. When you reach the end of A Different Kind of Pain you'll want to kiss your loved ones and gain a new appreciation for life.

Amazing Must Read By Donna Briody Buccella As a Cancer survivor, and watching many leave this earth way to early, the fighting, the struggle, the pain for the patient, the family, it's hell on earth, and I'm thankful for the gift of life, and I continue to pray for those who have survived, those who are still fighting and for those who weren't given the chance.this was a heartwarming, selfless loving beautiful story!!!!!Susan was a brave, thoughtful loving angel, who selflessly made sure he beloved Luka was taking care of, and her loving friendship with Melia, knowing they would be together to support each other in the end was breathtaking. Susan would find peace knowing they were ok, and when she transition to the end, she would be at peace.I loved this beautiful, selfless sweet loving story

Alessio As a professional librarian and reviewer it was my pleasure to read this delightful, rich mystery by Sarah Wisseman. Flora Garibaldi can't believe it when she sees her beloved roommate Ernst, dead on the sidewalk under their apartment balcony. He had recently spoken to her about sensing something wrong at the art restoration house where they both worked in Siena, Italy. Flora works with the police to learn what secrets exist behind the famous Lorenzetti family business.The mystery is clever and Flora is a wonderfully appealing, surprising character. The best aspect of this book is the way it pulls you in to Italy with the vibrant, artistic descriptions. I look forward to the next title in this series.

She has a new detective and the book is set in the Italian city of Siena. The mystery is well done; I didn't guess the villain until h/she was revealed. Also the writer gives lift to the city of Siena and you can almost believe you are sitting in one of its coffee shops.

In their city, death is common, but when it comes to their doorstep they decide it is time to leave. While searching for a place to live, they meet a rural family. Orel quickly becomes interested in one of the family’s sons, and their love begins to grow. Little do they know that disaster is upon them. Will they make it out in time or die like many others?Opinion:When I began reading this book, I was immediately pulled into Lucas’s world. Though very gory, the author described the state of the world in this book perfectly. The descriptions he used were enough to give me an idea of what it would be like to live in a devastated world, yet they weren't so long that they bored me.The characters weren’t your average heroes; they were damaged people living in an imperfect world. Though damaged, they were likable and relatable. The author set up the characters and kept me on the edge of my seat through the use of dual points of view.I was a bit confused about what the author called "citoyens." A bit more elaboration on who they were may have made it less confusing for me.All in all, this book is a swift read for those who like dark, apocalyptic worlds.

The story is not only interesting, it is emotionally powerful and moving. The characters are incredible and show what it truly means to be brave in the face of fear; to truly love someone unconditionally, and that even when it does not seem like it there is always hope. This was such a great read, I actually read it twice. Sean Jackson's writing is hauntingly beautiful and there were quite a few chapters where I found myself moved to tears by his eloquent prose. Haw is a book worth reading and is destined to be a classic because of how inspirational the story and characters are.

Haw walks that fine line between a bleak dystopian book and one with a message of hope, that drives you to think about your world and what small things in your own life you can do to prevent the kind of ecological disaster that has set the stage for the events of Haw. Sean Jackson is a gifted new voice.

Garrett Whether you are a dog lover or not, your heart will be touched by this beautifully written memoir by Louis Spirito. Mr. Sprito,who loves dogs but has difficulty managing his personal anger issues, rescues a pit bull named Tanner from an animal shelter. For months he works tirelessly to mellow this frightened animal and make him a part of his southern California household. At times trying and difficult, both the dog and master learn from each other and develop a very powerful bond. This is a book that teaches us the special love that a dog can imbue inside of us. And Mr. Spirito learns to conquer his anger all because of this mind-of-his-own pit bull. A wonderful book that is also a great guide for anyone thinking of adopting a dog from a shelter!

I love dogs but you don't have to be a "dog person" to get the message hidden between the lines. This books opens a door to serenity and a fresh appreciation of the precious gift of life. It's a fun read written by a thoughtful man who takes us on his own journey of self discovery that turns out to be ours as well. Great job Lou Spirito!

Review Day's photo-realistic quilts have been displayed at national and international quilt shows, museums, and the UN in Geneva. Her technique, which uses machine-sewn thread painting on top of a photograph printed on canvas, yields extraordinary detail and surprising texture. The author takes quilters through the various steps of her process, from selecting, editing, and preparing a photograph to printing on fabric to techniques for stitching a variety of details, including eyes, hair, and skin. Unfortunately, there are a number of unanswered questions, since Day jumps from the basics of preparing to thread paint directly to working with intricate details. This may leave beginners floundering as they try to figure out where and how to begin. A gallery of work from Day's students complements the numerous samples of the author's own work. VERDICT Day's quilts are inspiring, but the complexity of her techniques may be overwhelming, especially to quilters new to these methods. Amazing works of art in thread and cloth By DQmaine Wow, this is a visually stunning book with step-by-step guides on how to create your own stitched portrait masterpiece quilt. I can't wait to start my own project! I'm sure it will take time to master the techniques, but I feel confident I can start small and make something wonderful.

By Martha Sielman Do you have a favorite photo that you'd love to turn into a stunning quilt? This is the book for you. Jennifer Day gives careful instructions that will guide you through all the steps. I particularly valued her descriptions on how to choose thread colors, how different stitching patterns create differing results, and how the density of stitching creates various effects. The examples of her art are stunning! I especially love the portraits of her pets - adorable.

Most series do not progress in real time very rapidly. That is to say that most series books are only a few months apart between books. Peg Herring has chosen to advance the clock by about a decade. This book is intriguing because it has two (almost unrelated) mysteries running concurrently.. But it works, and works well. The series is still strong. If you liked the earlier installments, you'll like this one, I know I did. If you haven't yet read the earlier mysteries, it's not absolutely necessary, but as with most series, you'll get more out of the recurring characters if you are familiar with their back stories. And again, I can hardly wait for Ms Herring to write the next one for me to read.

Due to her station in life she cannot go out and investigate, so she charges her loyal guardsman and friend, Sargent Calkin, to take on the task for her. Meanwhile, Simon's assignment has developed into quite an adventure.The author has done a brilliant job of developing and evolving the characters. The young people we met in, “Her Highness' First Murder” are now adults with lives that have taken them in different directions. Yet the bond of friendship remains.Historical and intriguing, the series continues in royal fashion.

Coloring always gave me joy as a child and always wished I could find something more my age appropriate (in my 40's) to color and when I set my eyes on this I was back to that giddy little girl and ordered immediately. It allows me to tap into that same feeling of simply disconnecting from the outside world and tapping into my creativity. However this isn't just an adult version of a coloring book but it's a coloring book for all ages and for the purpose (at least for me) as a form of meditation with the beautiful Mandala artistry that is involved. It's simply stunning and a joyful addition to my day(s)....

Luther I was looking for a book on Preserving Herbs and ran across this great collection of books. Homesteading for Beginners Box Set: 33 Tips to Become a Perfect Homesteader + The Ultimate Manual on Preserving Herbs and A Beginners Guide to Crocheting ... Beginners, homestading, crochet stitches). The Ultimate Manual of Preserving Herbs was the reason for getting the collection, but the other two books have been nice to have. The Homesteading for Beginners is a short book, but very interesting and informative. The Ultimate Manual on Preserving Herbs has been a great help, and the How to Crochet was a great collection to help me refresh my crocheting skills.

She follows Metro on Facebook and has an original painting and several prints of his. We went to see Metro and Pork Chop when they came to Penn National Race Course and I made a video of Metro. It's fantastic what Metro is doing for other retired racehorses. My wife would love to see his coloring pages created as a coloring app for electronic devices and maybe a second coloring book with pictures of flowers, birds, dogs and other animals.

Was so excited when I received it in the mail and the mailman brought it to my door, I might have jumped up and down! I stopped what I was doing and sat down and started coloring and it was like I was a kid again. Great gift for those friends and relatives who are crazy about horses or little girls who are horse crazy.

We have 1 Ron original and 2 water color prints, 3 Metro originals and one Combo Ron and Metro original, so needless to say I had to have a Coloring with Metro Color book and decided it would make a great gift too. I ordered 10 for family and friends. One suggestion on the next version would be to add some Captions on the bottom in case people don't follow Metro so they know who Pork Chop, Stubby and all his friends are too.Thank you for all the joy you bring with posting, blogs, art, and sharing your talent.

So this book is very helpful especially with what tools are needed to start everything. Woodworking is mostly done by men but women can also do it and this book can be their guide. What's good is that it lists some home furnishings that you can create on your own like racks and holders. I'm sure that when you are able to finish making one, you'll feel proud of yourself. Wood working can also be a stress reliever for some. So grab one of your tools and start creating one.
