Review Wow, where do I even start. This beautifully illustrated coloring book balances illustrations of landscapes to cultural artifacts and patterns that take you on a journey around the world. Extremely well laid out with a lot of thought put into making this coloring book superb in quality. Some features I really loved about this book, - Printed on high quality heavy stock art paper, which means I could not only color in pencil crayons but ink without the colors bleeding through. - Each illustration comes with a a descriptive passage giving insight on the illustration on the facing page along with a space for testing colors. -The illustration itself is on a dedicated page that is perforated, so once finished, it can be easily removed from the book for framing if desired. Bridget Lott's artistry and illustration in this book is truly inspiring. It is incredibly calming to color in as I find my mind wandering to the places around the world these images take me on a journey to. --amazon.comWhat fun! About the Author South African born Bridged Lott is a retired scientist turned artist and designer. She has lived in many parts of the world and her work displays the vibrancy and range of her experiences. Bridged lives in the Pacific Northwest with her exotic African cat.

Coloring books have certainly come a long, long, long way from what they were in my childhood. My memory of page after page of similar outlines to color in, all along the same character theme, has now been replaced by the joys of this marvelous and eclectic adult coloring book.Coloring book? 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Nice quality coloring book for grownups By Reeny I can't wait for another book to come out by this publisher/artist. The spiral-binding is perfect for coloring, book lies flat. The paper is nice mixed media quality. I colored in with watercolor and while there was a bit of buckling, the paper didn't pill or disolve. I also used watercolor pencils, prisma colored pencils and Bic mark-it markers. All work well. I do recommend putting something underneath the page you're working on, like parchement paper or scrap paper, so the markers or paint doesn't bleed through the next page.The illustrations are a nice mix of intricate and simple. I really did find it relaxing to color in and let my mind wander. There's also blank pages labled "Creative Journal" where you can doodle your own drawings in, to color, which is kind of cool.Some of the drawings are layed out in "landscape" format (holding the book the wide way), and some in "portrait" (the tall way), which was nice to have options on, depending on your mood.The book just feels good..the cover and spiral binding and quality of paper and the mix of drawings.. I'd definitely buy it again if I had to do it all over again.
