0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Computer graphics highlight this upgraded volume By Jim Davis This is the 61st book in Kagero's simply named "Monographs" series. It is a 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" square bound, 128 page card cover. There are also 2 unbound foldouts so if buying second hand make sure to ask if these are included.The book has several distinct sections. The first 50 pages are a design and development history of the Ar 234 up to and including the Ar 234C series. It is supported by numerous black and white photos including many of several iterations of a wooden mock up of the aircraft. It is followed by two pages of 1/72nd line drawings of the Ar 234B-2 in seven views, the traditional six views and a seventh profile with wing and engines omitted to give an uninterrupted fuselage. These drawings are reproduced in 1/48th and 1/32nd scales on the unbound foldouts.Then we come to the major contribution of this book - the 66 pages of high quality computer graphics. The concentration is heavily on the cockpit and the landing gear and I doubt that any reader will not learn more about the aircraft after examining these pages.The book concludes with four pages of color photographs of a preserved aircraft and 5 pages (including rear cover) of color profiles.All is excellently done. It remains to compare the contents of the present book with a previous volume in the Monographs series devoted to this aircraft. This was Monograph 33 by the same author. Everything in the present book appears in the previous book *except* the computer graphics and the line drawings. The black and white photos are reproduced in a larger size than in the previous book as well. Thus the present book constitutes (along with volume 2) a considerable upgrade to the previous book. The cover painting is completely new and the masking foil included in the previous volume is not included here.All in all, highly recommended whether one owns the previous book or not.
