About the Author Susan Herbert studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, University of Oxford. After working for English National Opera and the Theatre Royal in London, she specialized in limited-edition prints of theatrical animals and exhibited frequently. She died in September 2014.

I just wish more paintings were represented or there was a second set. The expressions are wonderful. I have all the Susan Herbert books, and I'll never look at the portrait of Henry VIII or The Drowning Ophelia the same way again. I love to write notes to people, and these notecards are purrfect. (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)
