This collection of 27 doily patterns is for the intermediate level crocheter, but can also be tackled by an ambitious beginner. My goal in developing this ebook was to breathe life into forgotten vintage patterns from the 1930’s and 1940’s, by adapting and updating them with new colorful materials and making each pattern a user-friendly workable size. All of the doilies are worked in 14 rounds or less; depending on the size of your thread and hook, this works out to about 12” in diameter or less. This size means that these little doilies require small amounts of yarn, can be easily taken on the go, and are able to be completed in a single evening. When working on the compilation of this ebook, I wanted to make sure to have a variety and selection of different crochet techniques. Just to name a few: crossed stitches, the pineapple shape, working a spiral, creating petals, creating mesh, clusters and popcorns, working around loops and picots. Note: There are no charts, just written directions, so you will need to have a basic knowledge of reading crochet patterns. Doilies are a great way to take time out of a busy life to get back to the soothing relaxing art of crochet!

By Kindle Customer--Kim Cintron I ordered this book because I'm getting into making doilies to pass on to my children and grandchildren, this book is clearly formatted, beautiful photos of the finished doilies, easily explained, and the instructions in the patterns are super easy to follow. This will become my "go-to- guide for making heirloom quality doilies... thank you so much for putting it together!!

This is an "OK" book By YS I wanted to give this book a neutral review, because this book is neither bad nor good.The book is not for the "very" beginners. It is assumed that the reader has some crocheting experience (knows how to do stitches, and how to read written pattern directions). Author also recommends experimenting with the yarn and hooks. Many beginners just want to start crocheting right away.Also, I (personally, not talking for others) prefer to look at the drawn pattern, not the written. For me it is easier to visualize how the thing should look like and where I am in the project.Cons: Not for beginners, no pattern drawings.Pros: Clear pictures of doilies that author actually made, the yarn and hook sizes specified for each project, final product dimension is specified.To summarize, this is an "OK" book which has interesting projects, but if you are a novice, you'll need to google tutorials
