1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good info, but you're gonna work hard to use it. By Edie Snow I really really wanted to love this book. I just can't. The book is laid out showing the primary motif, and then, someplace else, four variations on it. Not all the original motifs are charted. The variations aren't charted, and the instructions are in blocks of text, rather than each row on its own line. Sometimes the variation is in line three, so you can bounce between instructions for the original and the variation. Sometimes the variation is; use a super bulky yarn. Really? And it's a pet peeve, but some names of the motifs are nauseatingly twee. It's not a star, it's 'twinkle.' It isn't a snowflake, it's 'blizzard.' Blech. There's no index, so good luck finding anything, especially when some motifs are named Bob, Annette, or Mary, for no apparent reason. I don't think it's the author's fault. I blame the book designer, who should consider a new career.
