Carter This book has great information on raising a puppy. This book gives a good overview of the monks' philosophy on life with our dogs, as well as many great pointers for specific training situations. In a time when attitudes toward dog training are so many and varied, I found I could buy most of what the monks are telling readers here. They focus on creating a strong and special bond with your dog, but in a way that emphasizes that you are the alpha. From the anecdotes of their experiences training other people's dogs with behavioral issues, it seems their methods can meet with great success.

The author offers great suggestions and adds a little humor to the book. He doesn't overload the reader with too much information, which makes it a quick and enjoyable read. Would be interested in reading more from the author.
