0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Ironic Title But Fun By CMA To be blunt, the “Be Coloring, Be Free, Be You!” by Barbara Freethy is a coloring book for experienced color-ers. The pictures revolve a nautical theme and are very intricate. Many of the pictures resemble a mandala or use this pattern as part of a larger piece. The finest sharpened color pencil or fine-tipped marker sometimes does not fit in between the lines. Personally, I hate leaving white spaces in my coloring so my quest to fill in every space led me to color outside the lines. Sometimes, when I am “Be[ing] [me],” I forget to “Be Free.” Despite the small spaces, the pictures are beautiful and, when carefully planned, create a wonderful finished product. I used colored pencils and markers to complete a few of the designs and the paper allows for a smooth transfer of color. In the end, the book is a coloring book so how much work the owner puts into coloring ultimately determines how the book is perceived.I received a free copy this book as part of the GoodReads First Read program. This does not influence my review at all.

Some have intricate details, others are simple and very easy to color. I'm not a great artist but this book makes me feel like one, and it sure makes my coloring look amazing!

Better quality paper would make this a great book By Sharon Post I was looking forward to this book as Barbara Freethy's email update on her books which I love put me onto colouring and I'm now addicted. If the paper was higher quality the book would be much better.
