By FoodieRonNYC I have long been a fan of Florence de Dampierre's book and I adore her newest book FRENCH CHIC LIVING. Having grown up with a French grand-mere, this book transports me back to her kitchen and into her garden. The book is filled with charming advice to add a little French flair to everyday living from entertaining and gardening to sprucing up the home and creating beautiful homemade gifts for family and friends. I have already ordered several copies to give to friends who recently got engaged or married and it will certainly be at the top of my shopping list for the holidays as a host gift to all of the holiday gatherings that we usually attend. Not only an invaluable guide to stylish living, the book is beautifully photographed and elegantly crafted. Highly recommended!

It makes me feel as though I'm in France again. Tim Street-Porter's photographs are stunning! In addition to taking you on a wonderful vicarious trip to the inside of a French household, Florence de Dampierre offers up her grandmother's advice on how to create the elegant surroundings which are nevertheless surprisingly simple. Living like the French means weaving tradition, beauty and practicality. Sign me up!!

By Tina Flow I just received this beautiful book as a present at my bridal shower and it sure feels like the gift that will never stop giving !I will be learning it all faster than that and be the first to bring this French chic stuff right here to Alaska. Can’t waitto astonish my husband with caribou steak and my own home made pickles ! And madeleines, and macaroons, and plenty more.This book is an encyclopedia of refined, delightful pleasures. What Frederick’s of Hollywood did for my aunt Patty’s marriage,I got a feeling that "French Chic" is going to do for mine. I am ordering one right away for my BFF !
