I have a linen closet packed with fabric that I had never considered using for something else. The directions are easy to follow and there was a picture for just about every step.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Very creative! By a hargette I hardly ever bother to write reviews but I have to give this book 5 stars for being amazingly creative!! I never would have imagined using things like pillowcases or shower curtains as fabric to make clothes or household items. So brilliant yet I never thought of that! At this point I would say my sewing skills are just at the intermediate level, so I really appreciated how clear and easy-to-follow the patterns were in this book. Also, the 'At a glance' section is something I haven't seen in other sewing books but it really helped to simplify each pattern.I would say that this book is probably not for rank beginners who have never even seen a needle and thread before, lol, but it's for anyone who enjoys sewing & creating fashionable things, and also saving money while doing it. The patterns included are *very* precise, and there were TONS of pictures and diagrams, which I found helpful for visualizing every step. So far I've made the pillowcase handbag (so cool) and the car organizer...next I'm going to try the skirt...
