Its simple layout allows you to quickly go through the plants that this professional recommends for when you want a drought resistant garden. And lets face it, with climate change going the way it is, that would have to cover the most of us wouldn't it?When you go to a nursery to chose plants, there are SO many you could get that the choice can become really hard. What l found so good about this book was that here, in one place, was 50 of the most used and attractive/practical plants that someone who does landscaping for a living is using on a daily basis to create their masterpieces! If you used this book, the drought tolerant trees book together with the "how To' landscaping book that Mr Larsen released a while back, you could create a garden that would be the envy of your neighbours! Well, thats my plan anyway!Cant recommend this book highly enough!

Written in a clear manner with lots of description and care instructions it's a wonderful guide. These days with water conservation on everyone's mind this book demonstrates how a drought tolerant garden can be beautiful and colorful with very low maintenance. This book is a must read for anyone thinking of a landscaping project as well as anyone wanting pictures and information on some lovely plants!

I have a property in Los Angeles and the water bills have been outrageous because of the draught. This book has really helped me rethink my inefficient yard and saved me a ton on my water bill. If you are looking into a draught tolerant solution for your yard, I highly recommend you pick up this book. And at $4.99 it's a steal!
