2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. You need this. Really. Trust me. By AS Fremont LOVE this! My children and I are already fighting over it. Thank goodness each image is repeated twice. Beautiful, peaceful yet engaging with just the right amount of detail. Not too busy and not too much empty space. Some pages are more complicated, some less so, some patterns, some mandala type visual eye candy, some more subject it object based. Great variety of moods and perspective. I am soooo tired of coloring Strawberry Shortcake, Barbies or monster trucks. However, I did realize that coloring later in life is actually very calming and fun. However, now when they beg me to color, I don't have to try to add patterns and accessories to the very basic figures. Now I just have to keep them from scribbling all over my coloring book! ;)

Good For All Ages, But Really Good For Me By Kathleen Hendricks Yes, as previous reviewers mentioned, When Octopods Dream is good for all ages with a range of intricacy and images. Yes, the images are visually stunning. However, if you are a person of a certain age, you may notice the need for reading glasses to see the real small stuff. I'm not saying that you can use the big crayons for this book. I'm saying that the artist achieved a great balance of intricacy and style to create images that are inspirational, and easy to color, while at the same time giving a healthy dose of challenging intricacy.The very best thing about this book? The artist included each image twice. That's a robust book with a second chance to interpret your favorite image in new color!Thank you Ms. Medeiros, I'm a fan and I see you just came out with a second book.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Meh. Just ok. By S. Scheide Another coloring book I purchased based on stellar reviews that I just don't understand now that the book is in my hands. There is nothing horrible about this book, but it certainly doesn't deserve the rave reviews it got. It's just OK. There isn't a lot to color on many of the pages, unless you enjoy doing the background, which I don't. The paper isn't the nice smooth paper that I like for my Prismacolor pencils. It has that rougher newsprint-like texture that doesn't work well with pencils. I colored half of one picture, and added it to the "nuts, I wish I hadn't bought that" pile.
