Jenifer Jordan has been an architectural/ interior photographer for over thirty years. Her beautiful photography has been featured in many design magazines and design books. She has exclusively shot eleven design books―five with Charles Faudree, including Charles Faudree Home, Charles Faudree Interiors, Charles Faudree Details, Charles Faudree’s French Country Signature, and Charles Faudree’s Country French Living. Her other books include Horses & Homes, which she photographed and wrote, Modern Country by Nancy E. Ingram, and Been There Shot That with Hilary Rose. She lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her adorable rescue King Charles cavalier spaniels, Parker and Lily.

I have had the privilege of photographing five of Charles Faudree’s Country French design books; it is with love and honor that I present his sixth book, Charles Faudree Country French Legacy.
I met Charles in l987 when I was hired to photograph his home for a Christmas issue for Traditional Home magazine with Nancy Ingram, regional field editor. I remember it vividly. It was a hot, humid October day in Oklahoma when I walked into the most beautiful, opulent Christmas setting I had ever seen. It was a memorable surprise, stunning! There were bows, ornaments, wreaths, decorated trees and flowers making it a Christmas wonderland like only Charles could do―with style.
Fast forward to 2002 and many fun photography shoots of his work with Charles and Nancy for national interior design magazines and books. The three of us thought we should do our own design book together. I crudely prepared a book prototype; I literally cut and pasted images and faux text onto pages into a small book. The one prototype acquired some tattered pages and a few rejections before we found Gibbs Smith publisher. We completed what we set out to do, our first design book, Charles Faudree’s French Country Signature. The book was well received and Charles created quite the following across the country. Over the next few years we added four more volumes to our library, including Charles Faudree’s Country French Living, Charles Faudree Interiors, Charles Faudree Details and Charles Faudree Home.

By Leslie Jenifer Jordan, Mr. Faudree's partner, Bill, and his sister, Francie, are to be commended for the executionof such a beautiful book honoring the memory of one of our best American interior designers. This is notjust a repeat of several of Mr. Faudree's pictures from earlier books, although there are some, but new,never before seen and beautifully photographed rooms, that highlight the great talent of Charles Faudree.I also greatly enjoyed the recollections and comments of those that had the pleasure of working with him,his clients, family, friends, staff and of course, Jenifer and Bill. I became a huge fan from the first time Isaw him featured in Traditional Home and his first decorating volume, French Country Signature, becamemy decorating "bible" as I decorated my first home. This newest volume of his work, Country French Legacy,is in my humble opinion, the best compilation of his work ever and I know I will continue to enjoy lookingthrough this book for years to come. Thank you to the author, Ms. Jordan, and to all who contributed to thiswonderful book. You would have made Charles Faudree very proud!

By Sherry Valentino I've always been a big fan of Charles Faudree since the beginning of seeing his rooms in Traditional Home and Southern Accents Magazines. Then, of course, I purchased all of his books. This is the last one to add to the collection and his final one. I was shocked when I heard of his passing. We will never see rooms decorated again in that warm, French style that invited the viewer into his world.

This book is an homage to his legacy and highlights a number of particular homes and rooms that he designed. There are comments and anecdotes throughout from co-workers, friends and clients. The book is substantial and filled with many wonderful photographs which perfectly illustrate Charles Faudree's amazing work. I linger over each picture and description. This is not a look-at-it-once type of design book as I find myself referring back repeatedly. I bought this for myself, but it would make a great gift as well.
